Read Poets Society
About The Publication
The story behind what inspired this community.
Welcome to the publication.
Read Poets Society is named after the iconic film, Dead Poets Society (1989).
Yes, I totally stole part of the name…but as Mr. Keating says in the movie,
“Words and ideas can change the world.”
That is the heart of this publication.
I genuinely believe words and ideas can change the world and do change the world.
I searched for a space to connect with others who feel the same.
Didn’t find it.
So I made this.
The mission?
To explore how books and words are not just tools for procrastination, but tools for advocacy and change.
Expect book reviews, poetry deep dives, a book club community, and writing tips.
RPS is here to explore how stories shape the world, and honestly, how they make it suck a little less.
Who’s the creator of Read Poets Society?
I have a background in Sociology and English literature, basically a double major in overthinking.
